The videos hosted on YouTube span a variety of genres, from technology to makeup and gaming to food. Content creators strive to produce and upload quality videos that showcase their passions and provide useful information, which is why, in this week’s Two East Congress Blog, we’ve decided to share some YouTube Channels you may want to subscribe to.   Binging with Babish If you’re the type of person who watches movies or television shows that feature food and wonder what the food tastes like, then this channel is for you. Binging with Babish is a cooking channel that dives into attempts at recreating food shown in various shows and movies, as well as attempting to make those recipes better!  Tasty If you’ve been on facebook or other social media platforms, you’ve probably come across some top-down cooking videos. Many of those videos may be from Tasty, but those aren’t the only type of videos this channel offers! These videos are vibrant, high quality, and are sure to make your mouth water. Subscribe to this channel to improve your culinary skills or to give yourself some ideas of recipes to try. FOOD INSIDER Are you ready to travel around the nation for the most delicious foods? If you don’t have the money to go personally, you can check out FOOD INSIDER. What are some of your favorite things to do during the summer? There are plenty of outdoor activities you can participate in to take advantage of the warmer weather. If you aren’t in the mood for spending time outside, you can always watch some fun summer movies! Do you enjoy science fiction? Many science fiction fans have rallied around shows like Star Wars and Star Trek, insomuch that they have their own days! May 4th is Star Wars Day and it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate your love of the Star Wars universe. In this week’s Two East Congress Blog, we’ll share with you some ways you can celebrate and make the most of the day! Movie Marathon There are lots of movies in the Star Wars saga, many of which take place during different time periods. Whether you wish to watch them all in chronological order or whether you wish to watch your favorite ones, you’ll have hours of entertainment ahead of you. Grab some friends and get yourself ready for a marathon! Don’t forget the delicious snacks either. Star Wars Treats Snack on some tasty treats during your marathon by making some delicious Star Wars inspired treats! From pretzel lightsabers to macarons decorated like your favorite characters, there are plenty of treats you can choose from to make your movie marathon better! Casual Cosplay Show your classmates or coworkers your love of Star Wars by participating in some casual cosplay! Pick your favorite character from the movies or universe and dress up like them! Some of the most popular characters to cosplay are Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia. If you wish to participate in more serious cosplay, you can choose a different, more complex character like Chewbacca or even C3P0. Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day-image

Did you grow up eating grilled cheese sandwiches? It’s incredible how tasty two pieces of bread and some cheese in the middle can be. Since there are various types of cheese and bread, there are near endless possibilities of combinations of grilled cheese sandwiches. In this weeks Two East Congress Blog, we’ll share with you some delicious recipes you can use to celebrate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day. The day falls on April 12, so mark it on your calendar!   Sloppy Joe Grilled Cheese from Spicy Southern Kitchen Combining two delicious sandwiches can produce mixed results, but the combination of a sloppy joe and a grilled cheese is a mix we can get behind! At least, we’re sure of it from the looks of this recipe! Use lean ground beef, onion, green pepper, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, white bread, cheese, and butter for this flavorful sandwich. Be sure to keep some napkins around because it might get messy!!   Bacon Guacamole Grilled Cheese Sandwich from Closet Cooking Bacon and guacamole are some iconic sides to any meal, so putting them in a sandwich heaped with cheese is a no-brainer. It may not exactly be revolutionary, but it does add variety to your traditional gooey grilled cheese sandwich. Choose to make your own guacamole or pick some up from the store, but either way, you’ll be able to enjoy this delicious grilled cheese.   Balsamic Blueberry Grilled Cheese from Amanda K. by the Bay This recipe is definitely unique, since it’s bringing together the unlikely ingredients of blueberries, sharp white cheddar, arugula or spinach, and balsamic vinegar. Do you dread laundry day? Taking time out of your week to clean your clothes can be an annoyance, but it’s necessary. In this week’s Two East Congress Blog, we’ve decided to share with you some tips to make your laundry day a little easier! These tips may not remove the chore of doing laundry, but at least you’ll be able to make better use of your time! Set an Alarm If you’re a busy person, you’ll want to take advantage of the time you have between washing and drying your clothes. Set an alarm so you know exactly when you should switch your clothes over to the other machines or remove them from the dryer. If you’re busy doing something else, it’s easy to forget that you’ve got laundry in the machine. Without an alarm, you may end up leaving your damp clothes in the washing machine, which increases the chance of your clothes developing a musty smell that may require an additional wash to remove. Set an alarm and avoid that altogether! Don’t Overstuff Washing machines can hold a lot of clothes, but that doesn’t mean you should fill it to the brim. It’s normal to want to stuff the machine full to save time while doing laundry, but overstuffing can lead to a bad wash. Instead of shoving everything in at one time, sort your clothing into your whites, your darks, and the coloreds. Wash them each separately to avoid any color bleeding and to ensure that your whites remain white, your darks remain dark, and your colors remain vibrant! Do Smaller Loads Sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to laundry. Many people wait until they’ve accumulated a large amount of dirty laundry before washing them. If you were to take some time a couple times a week to do smaller loads of dirty clothes, it will take less time per day and you won’t be left with the temptation of overstuffing your washing machine! New Year's Goals-image

2019 is a new year and the time for you to resolve to do something productive! If you are unsure how to proceed, we’ve got a few suggestions for you in this week’s Two East Congress Blog. It would be a good idea to evaluate the previous year to pinpoint areas of your life you wish to improve, then make appropriate goals! These goal ideas are meant to inspire you and aid you in creating goals for yourself! Exercise Many people look at their previous year and realize that they’ve let themselves go a little. To rectify that, they resolve to go to the gym and get exercise. Fitness goals are a great option for your new year. If you intend on resolving to get fit, we suggest getting specific. Setting specific goals will give you a clear path on how to proceed, guiding the method you take to reach your goal! Remember that results come after time, so stick with your workout routine and don’t give up! Healthy Eating Treat your body well by eating right. If you’ve already resolved to exercise, you’ll be able to see some additional results by changing your diet! Regardless of your goals, eating more vegetables and fruit will provide your body with the nutrients it needs. If you’re looking to slim down, we recommend striving for a caloric deficiency without starving yourself, the deficiency combined with your exercise regimen will help you get the results you’re looking for! If at all possible, stay away from fast food, but if you do go out, get accustomed to making the healthier choice! Relationship Building We understand that life can get busy, we also understand that being busy can have a negative effect on your relationships. Since it’s the new year, use it as an opportunity to forge stronger relationships or reconnect with those you’ve fallen out of touch with. Being a good friend isn’t too difficult, but since it’s so easy, it can be easy to neglect. Resolve to be a better friend this year! Have you made any resolutions or goals this year?
